About the Company
DFW Elite Car Club was founded by Ron Sturgeon, a Dallas-based entrepreneur, real estate investor and author of How to Salvage Millions from Your Small Business and Green Weenies and Due Diligence. Listen to a podcast about Ron’s latest business book. See articles about our founder.
Along the automotive road to success, he was featured in INC. Magazine twice, and most recently in Millionaire Blueprints. Sturgeon, a small business consultant, has founded and built several large automotive businesses, including a chain of auto recycling centers he sold to Ford Motor Company in 1999. He also started an auto auction, which he sold to the largest public company in the segment. In 2003, with 3 investors, he purchased the auto recycling business from Ford Motor Company, which had grown to over 25 locations in 15 states. In September 2005, that company was sold to a public company, Schnitzer Industries. During his automotive career, he accumulated a significant number of exotic and classic cars, which serve as the foundation for our company. He also has a significant collection of automotive toys, a number of which are on display at our Fort Worth offices. He is well known in the automotive, banking, and real estate circles throughout North Texas. Sturgeon is a renowned small business consultant and speaker, serving as a keynote speaker for many business associations. Sturgeon has also amassed a huge collection of automotive antique toys, art, and related automobilia, collected globally over the last 25 years. The Staff
Tom Warren - General Manager: Tom comes to us with a Management background in marketing, retail, and the travel industry. Although not a gearhead he's accustomed to speed from his days of flying Marines to the shore during Desert Storm on a US Navy hovercraft. He was recently heard saying, "There is nothing like the feeling you get pulling up in an exotic car. I'll never forget the look on my daughter's face when her friends watched her leave their graduation in a Ferrari."
A Texas native and world traveler, Tom works with our travel partners and can arrange luxury and exotic car rental in conjunction with our hotel and dining partners. Tom works with the Dallas Visitors and Convention Bureau and is a member of Meetings Planners International. Tom is a great resource in planning meetings, business travel and Drive Your Dream corporate team building events.
Marissa Collins - DFW Elite Car Club Adiministrative Underwriting: Marissa is a proud native Texan who happens to own fully modified '87 302 Mustang. Growing up in the lower Rio Grande Valley she has fond memories assisting her father restoring classic trucks. She is perpetuating the species. Marissa is married to a gearhead and raising a little gear head.
When not burning rubber, Marissa is facilitating Dallas exotic car rentals and Drive Your Dream tours. Marissa answers all administrative questions: insurance, rentals, or Drive your Dream. Her favorite car is of course our Ford GT. Marissa says "It's all about horse power!"
About the Photographer
Adam Hicks, a Fort Worth native, is DFW Elite Auto Rental.com's in-house photographer as well as the evangelist for the best luxury car rental company in Dallas-Fort Worth. He has been a gearhead all his life, prowling through wrecking yards as a youngster, moving on to designing exotic car driving tours and cultivating his love for photography. He was a freelance photographer for Texas Driver Magazine for many years, so he is right at home photographing the collection of the largest exotic car sharing club in Dallas. Adam currently drives a 2006 BMW Z4 M Roadster and has previously owned a BMW M Coupe, Toyota FJ Cruiser and an off-road Jeep.
