The first two armored vehicles in DFW Elite Car Club.com’s fleet are a Hummer H2 and Chevrolet Suburban, both of which have been customized with bullet-proof windows, light ballistic steel body armor, Run-Flat tires and a steel undercoating. Although they look like other models on the street, the armored SUVs are impenetrable by gunshots, hammers, bats and hatches.
 
“With more and more people thinking about personal safety, we knew this was something we wanted to make available to our club members,” Sturgeon says. “The Hummer H2 and Suburban are two of the most popular vehicles being modified with light armor today, so we wanted to include them in our stable of exotic and luxury cars.”
 
The bulletproof vehicles join an extensive collection of cars that range from classic beauties to models hot off the assembly line. For a monthly fee, members have access to cars including Land Rovers, Porsches, Ferraris, Bentleys and even the new Rolls-Royce Phantom.
